We invite U19, U16, or any 20+ year old USA Hockey registered player interested in Towson University to Skate with the Tigers! Participants will be led by team coaches and players through various drills followed by a combined scrimmage with the 2014 & 2015 DVCHC Div.1 Championship team. Players and coaches will be available before and after the event to answer questions about women's college club hockey and Towson University. Share this post with teammates and friends! After an exciting weekend at DVCHC Playoffs, the Tigers emerge victorious as Div. 1 Champions for the second straight season in a row! The weekend started with a 9-1 win over Loyola on Friday February 13 in the quarter-finals followed by a 6-0 shutout of the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday February 14 in the semi-final match-up. The championship proved to be a competitive and physical matchup against the Midshipmen of Navy. After a constant back and forth battle, time expired with the final score Towson - 3 and Navy - 2. Lauren Wood made some amazing saves throughout the game to keep Towson's defense in check. The offensive rush was led by goals by Sarah Rose, Nicole Melchione, and Emily Potere who had the game winning goal. Congrats to the entire team and coaching staff. Thank you to the friends and family who have supported us throughout the season. Your Tigers are a perfect 15-0 undefeated DVCHC Div. 1 Champions!
The Tigers played Loyola for the first time and won 12-4. The Tigers are undefeated in league play as they enter the winter break. The team faces 3 more games when they return against UPENN, Loyola, and Maryland. Playoffs are scheduled to be Feb 13 - Feb 15 at Centre ice Rink at the Delaware State Fairgrounds. Come out and support the team!
In the first ever women's division of the DVCHC Showdown, the Tigers made history clenching the tournament title. The team set a new DVCHC men's and women's record by gaining all 18 possible tournament points. The Tigers defeated Villanova, Rutgers, and North Jersey Phoenix all in 9-0 shutout victories. The team is now 8-0 for the season in DVCHC play as the team fights to hold onto the league championship title. Click the picture below to read the league article on the weekends games.
The Tigers continue to be undeafted in league play as they secure their thrid divisional win and fifth overall win against teams in the DVCHC. Towson will play Rutgers again at the upcoming DVCHC Showcase in Aston, Pa from November 21-November 23.
The Tigers led Villanova throughout the second Division game of the season. Although the Wildcats managed to get a few breakaways, Towson's defense was able to shut them down early. The Tigers will play Villanova again during the Showcase weekend. Towson hopes to continue their undefeated streak in league play.
The Tigers had a competative matchup against the Midshipmen of Navy. The game was incredibly close throughout all three periods. Towson's defense managed to play aggressive in the last few minutes of the third period to secure the team's win. This is the second win for Towson in competition for the MD State Title and the third win against teams in the DVCHC.
The Tigers get their first shutout in program history against University of Maryland on November 8! The game was a close head to head matchup, but Towson was able to get the upper hand with back to back goals in the 2nd period. This is the first win for Towson in competition for the Maryland State Title against Navy, Maryland, and Loyola.
In the first scrimmage of the season, the Tigers went head to head throughout all 3 periods vs. nationally ranked UDel and led the Blue Hens 3-2 for a majority of the 2nd period. Regular game time ended 3-3, but the Blue Hens were able to get a goal off early in OT leaving the final score 4-3 in favor of UDel. The game was a great show of the talent the team has to offer as we approach our first league game in November! Thank you to all the fans that came to support!!

Yesterday, we travelled to Hershey's Giant Center for All Stars for the DVCHC. The team was awarded their joining and championship banners along with other player awards voted on by the league including: MVP, Top Scorer, Star of the Game, Sportswoman of the Year, and Outstanding Defensewoman. Congratulations ladies!

Over an exciting President's Day Weekend, the Tigers brought a surge of skill and power to this weekend's games. Towson played University of Maryland in the quarter final in a close matchup going 1-1 into the 3rd period. Towson was able to set a spark scoring 3 goals in under a minute. Final score was 4-1 over Maryland. Sunday night, the Tigers played #1 seed Navy. Towson played a high pressure game sinking Navy in a 4-2 upset to advance to the final championship game. Monday afternoon, the Tigers played #2 seed Slippery Rock in the final game. The Tiger came out to win playing a physical and high scoring game. Towson defeated Slippery Rock 11-3 to win the DVCHC Championship. Thank you to the coaches, family, and friends who have supported the team from the start. Our inaugural season would not have been as successful without your support! We are excited to start planning for next season! It is incredible to have such a great team of dedicated athletes that can come together so quickly to not only have a winning record in the first year, but also a championship!
The Tigers went to UVA to play the last two games of the regular season. The team beat UVA both Saturday and Sunday to make the team record 7-4 going into playoffs. Official seeding and game times will be announced later this week.
In the first game back from winter break, the Tigers defeated Navy 4-3. This upcoming weekend, the Tigers will travel to UVA to play the last two games of the regular season. The team is still in a close battle for points between UMD and Rutgers as we get closer to playoffs
The Tigers defeated Villanova in their last game of the semester! With the score tied 5-5 going into the 2nd period, Towson bounced back quickly to secure another win. Towson officially secures 5th place in the DVCHC going into winter break. We will return next semester with three games left in the season. After a hard fought game, Towson fell to Maryland in the two teams second meeting of the season at Herbert Wells Ice Rink in College Park. The Tigers split the series with Maryland and are now tied for 5th in the DVCHC with Villanova. Towson seeks to win their second matchup against Villanova on December 8th when the team returns from Thanksgiving break.
Towson won their last home game of the season over Liberty University! With a very skilled goalie on Liberty's side, the Tigers put up 97 shots on goal during the game. Thank you to all the fans who came out these past few weeks to our home games! This Saturday, we play Maryland away in another exciting matchup.
Sunday November 10th, the Tigers traveled to Oaks Center Ice to play the Wildcats of Villanova. Towson set the tone right away by leading the score 7-0 after the 1st period. The Wildcats answered back quickly by scoring two goals back to back. With heavy offensive pressure, Towson managed to win their second game of the season. The Tigers will play the Wildcats again in December. The Tigers hope to keep this winning streak alive!
